Chicago, February 4 – At the exclusive event “The Rise of ESG: 2021 Challenges and Opportunities” offered by the Center for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) to its Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioners in North America, the discussion revolved around key Sustainability challenges faced by Sustainability managers and C-Suite Executives across different sectors.

 

CSE’s Alumni Event took place to celebrate 12 successful years of the Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner Program that has become the first choice for Sustainability and ESG Professionals around the globe, as proven by more than 6.500 certified practitioners in 60 countries.

 

CSE was proud to host as Guest Speakers Mrs. Anna Zubets-Anderson, VP – ESG Analyst, Moody’s Corporation and Mr. David Marshall, M.U.P., CSR-P., Manager, Sustainability & Public Affairs, Resolute Forest Products. The unique findings of CSE’s Annual Research into Sustainability (ESG) Ratings & Reporting Trends in North America were also presented.

 

The Research presented ESG leading companies based on various ESG ratings and showed Common Tools, Policies and Standards used by organizations. The vast majority of these organizations (85%) also show an increase in their revenues over a 3-year period. In brief some of the common tools, policies and Standards used by those organizations are

 

  • Holistic strategy and publication of an independent ESG Report
  • Setting ambitious goals in all material issues
  • Integration and use of ESG Frameworks such us GRI, SASB, TCFD & CDP

 

Moreover, CSE presented its unique ISS tool (Integrated Sustainability System) that can be used by companies and organizations to maximize their ESG performance and support their access to Sustainable Investors.

 

As for Reporting statistics, the Food and Beverage sector is a leader in ESG Ratings, followed by Agriculture, Mining, Construction and Engineering, Consumer Goods, Finance and Real Estate, Healthcare, Retail and Technology.

 

CSE Research findings will be presented during its Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner Programs, Advanced Edition, throughout North America.
