Invitation to Sustainability Events this Summer | CDP Director to Speak in New York

This summer, we at the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE) invite you to join us as we host certified events for sustainability professionals.

On August 27-28, the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence will be hosting its Certified Carbon Strategy Practitioner Training in New York. This a unique, yet non-technical course which includes an array of practical methods and solutions for measuring an organizational carbon footprint and managing GHG emissions. This exclusive course will also feature a presentation by Zoe Tcholak-Antitch, North American Director of the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP). For those unfamiliar, the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) is an independent not-for-profit organization holding the largest database of primary corporate climate change and water information in the world.

Zoe joined CDP in 2004 and moved to New York to set CDP’s U.S. office in 2007. She now runs CDP’s North American operations with a focus on improving disclosure of climate and water relevant information for shareholders. Zoe has produced many of CDP’s reports including the Global 500 report for several years and spearheaded an increase in the response rate of US corporations to CDP from 47% to 70%. She has contributed to numerous articles on climate change and is regularly quoted in the media as an expert on corporate sustainability. Zoe has been a guest lecturer at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service as part of their Corporate Sustainability program. She is an Advisory Board Member of the Association of Climate Change Officers.

Following the Carbon Strategy Practitioner course, CSE will connect with the sustainability community in San Francisco when it brings its Certified Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner Training to the Bay Area! This training, taking place on September 13-14, provides a core understanding of global sustainable development and includes in-depth discussion, interactive exercises, and updated case studies for demonstrating the business case on sustainability.

Come see why United Airlines, Walmart Canada, Honeywell, Pfizer, The World Bank, W.W. Grainger, Illinois Tool Works, ArcelorMittal, BP, Coca-Cola, and Heineken have attended our events!

Limited seating for both trainings so register today!

Participants of our IEMA-accredited courses can earn an international professional certification to lead their organizations, teams, and projects towards a sustainable future.
