Certified Sustainability Practitioner Workshop for Canadian Executives to be Held in Toronto

On June 14th and 15th, the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence (CSE), in partnership with Gibbs & Soell, will be hosting its global training program, the “Certified Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner” in Toronto. This will be the organization’s second time hosting the event in Canada. CSE’s certified training focuses on the needs of Managers, Directors, and Executives with roles in corporate social responsibility and sustainability.

Previous attendees have included sustainability managers, environmental consultants, external relations advisors, and communications executives from a wide range of business sectors.

During CSE’s first visit to Toronto in November 2011, Nikos Avlonas, President of CSE was joined by leading key note speakers, including the Former Prime Minister of Sweden Ola Ullsten, and GRI USA Focal Point Director Mike Wallace, who presented through teleconferencing. Their presentations enabled participants to help rethink current business models and operational frameworks, and learn from proven sustainability leaders.

CSE holds a competitive advantage in leading change and driving sustainable development since 2006 with its unique and advanced services. As part of these services, the Certified Sustainability (CSR) Practitioner Trainings have received global recognition and now act as a stepping stone for organizations that aspire to progressively implement sustainability into their core operations.

At present, more than 300 Sustainability Practitioners from 5 continents and over 30 countries have received this qualification. CSE’s Practitioners are making a substantial difference in implementing sustainability to enhance financial and non-financial performances of organizations such as Rogers Communications, Sara Lee, W.W. Grainger, World Business for Sustainable Development, Lloyds Banking Group, Whole Foods, Coca-Cola, Vanity Fair, Mercedes Benz, Shell, and Baker Hughes, to name a few.
