Founded in 1899 and headquartered in Nicosia, Bank of Cyprus (“Bank” or “Group”) is the leading banking and financial services group in Cyprus, with significant market shares across all businesses. The Group provides a wide range of financial products and services which include retail and commercial banking, finance, factoring, investment banking, brokerage, fund management, private banking, life and general insurance. The Group has 136 branches, of which 130 are in Cyprus, 1 in Romania, 4 in the United Kingdom and 1 in the Channel Islands. The Challenge

The principles of sustainability are an inextricable part of Bank of Cyprus. The Bank abides by its ethical commitments with regard to transparency, quality of service, defending human rights, environmental protection and safeguarding cultural heritage, and wishes to reflect these principles in its first Sustainability Report.

The Solution

CSE assisted Bank of Cyprus in creating its first Sustainability report based on the GRI Framework. CSE assisted Bank of Cyprus in creating the content of the report. Information was based and developed according to the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 guidelines. The sustainability report has been prepared “in accordance” core with the G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
