The president of CSE speaker to the Green Meeting Industry Council global conference in Chicago

This week Chicago hosted the Green Meeting Industry Council’s (GMIC) Annual Conference, where business professionals from around the country convened to discuss strategies for increasing the sustainability of their meetings and events.

CSE was honored to have our President, Nikos Avlonas, led a breakout session discussing ways to globalize sustainability in the events industry.  Topics that Nikos covered during the session included the business case for sustainable meetings, ways to use green meetings to increase stakeholder value, and how to incorporate Green Building Standards such as LEED, SERF  GRI, APEX into the green meeting model.  It was great to see so much excitement for green events and meetings at the GMIC conference and CSE is proud to be taking part in this new sustainability movement CSE and its President is Board Member of GMIC Chicago Chapter.
