Depending on your expertise and availability of projects , you may also be invited to collaborate on our own consulting projects. While project involvement depends on current needs, we guarantee at least one engagement per year (couple of hours) — whether that’s a training or a client project you bring in, supported by CSE’s global experience and solutions.
Every Consulting Affiliate receives two complimentary online certified courses, chosen from topics such as Sustainability (ESG) Reporting, GHG emissions, Circular Economy, ESG fundamentals, supply chain and ratings. You also receive one to one strategic consulting from CSE experts to support your pipeline, proposals and project design. Beyond that, you have priority access to new tools, updates and methodologies as ESG regulations and standards evolve. This continuous support helps you stay ahead of the ESG curve and convert more proposals into signed work.
As a Licensed ESG Consulting Affiliate, you are eligible to offer CSE’s specialized certification services to your clients. These include ESG report assurance and certification, carbon neutral and net zero related certifications, Recognized ESG Employer certification, and GHG emissions verification and external certification. These services differentiate your firm, create additional billable work around assurance and verification, and deepen client relationships.
Route 1: Affiliate Trainer (subscription fee 4,900 euros per year), is ideal if you want to focus on training leaders and teams. It gives you exclusive authorization to deliver the Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner Course in your territory for in house corporate training and/or public sessions with your own instructors.
Route 2: Affiliate Consultant (subscription fee 4,900 euros per year), suits firms that want to focus on advisory work and benefit from specialized training, counseling, consulting tools, collaboration opportunities, network expansion and exclusive branding.
Route 3: Affiliate Consultant & Trainer (subscription fee 9,600 euros per year), combines both options, allowing you to generate income from consulting projects and delivering CSE’s flagship training.
The program is best suited to established consulting or training firms, advisory boutiques and similar organizations. A good fit usually has at least 3 to 5 years in a related field to Sustainability (e.g Environment, Communications, Training, Quality ) or related consulting experience, an existing client portfolio and access to decision makers in corporate, public sector or financial institutions. Firms should also have the capacity to invest in marketing and business development for ESG services, and to deliver high quality work that reflects the CSE brand. This is a growth opportunity designed for firm owners or representatives rather than freelancers.
You (or someone in your firm) need to be a Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner or hold an updated certificate before licensing. You should have at least 3 years of consulting service experience and be an owner or representative of a consulting firm. You are expected to have connections in local business networks, be willing to provide client references and case studies, and, for Licensed Trainers, to qualify as a trainer as determined by CSE. Freelancers are not eligible for the affiliation scheme, but CSE can explore other types of collaboration with them.
First, you complete the online form on CSE’s website with your qualifications or reach out by email for more information. Next, you enroll in the Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner program or confirm that your certification is up to date. CSE’s board then reviews your profile and business plan and, if there is a good fit, you proceed to finalize the agreement and payment. Once onboarded, you receive the licensing logo/seal, gain access to tools, training and the global network, and can begin positioning your firm at the leading edge of the rapidly growing ESG consulting market.
