CSE at the United Nations headquarters in NYC

CSE’s President Nikos Avlonas participated as speaker at the 5th Annual United in Sustainability Summit, which took place on November 14th 2022 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, where several Credit Unions were present.

 

 

Nikos spoke at a panel of experts where he presented the key findings from CSE’s new Annual Research in ESG Ratings and Reporting Trends in US and Canada and shared common success factors from the Financial Sector and a methodology for fast adoption of ESG criteria.


In the same panel Kimberly Kosmenko, Project Director in Optera and Cristina Paslar, EVP, ESG Products in Mastercard spoke about the ways climate change is driving business transformation: strategies, trends, and data-driven developments.


Later in the day Jamil Ahmad, Director of UNEP analyzed what to expect from COP27 and Jahi Wise, Special Assistant to the White House on Climate Strategy, spoke about the ways that credit unions can join the Clean Energy Transition with an update on US legislation and Executive Orders.
