Le changement climatique constitue une menace s\u00e9rieuse et il est reconnu que ce sont les communaut\u00e9s vuln\u00e9rables qui en subiront le plus les cons\u00e9quences. Pour faire face \u00e0 cette menace, les \u00e9missions de carbone doivent diminuer.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Taxe carbone<\/strong> d\u00e9courage l'utilisation des combustibles fossiles, car il s'agit d'une taxe impos\u00e9e par un gouvernement \u00e0 toute entreprise qui br\u00fble des combustibles fossiles. Chaque gouvernement peut d\u00e9terminer le co\u00fbt externe de chaque tonne d'\u00e9mission de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Les \u00e9conomistes pr\u00e9f\u00e8rent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement les politiques de taxation du carbone, car il est plus facile d'\u00e9tablir une corr\u00e9lation entre les \u00e9missions et leur co\u00fbt, et c'est l'un des moyens les plus rentables de les r\u00e9duire. Toutefois, une question importante se pose : l'impact qu'elles peuvent avoir sur les contribuables \u00e0 revenus faibles ou moyens. C'est pourquoi une taxe sur le carbone doit \u00eatre introduite progressivement afin de leur donner le temps d'op\u00e9rer ce changement.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Un certain nombre de pays, de r\u00e9gions et de collectivit\u00e9s locales dans le monde ont d\u00e9j\u00e0 mis en place une taxe sur le carbone, notamment l'UE, le Canada et la Su\u00e8de. En outre, plusieurs \u00c9tats am\u00e9ricains ont mis en place des programmes de tarification du carbone, en particulier la Californie.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Selon la Banque mondiale<\/strong>Au total, 40 pays et 20 municipalit\u00e9s utilisent des taxes sur le carbone ou des \u00e9changes de droits d'\u00e9mission de carbone, et 88 pays ont l'intention d'utiliser une taxe sur le carbone pour atteindre les objectifs de l'Accord de Paris, ce qui repr\u00e9sente 56% d'\u00e9missions mondiales.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Finlande<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 le premier pays au monde \u00e0 introduire une taxe sur le carbone en 1990. \u00c0 l'heure actuelle, c'est la Su\u00e8de qui applique la taxe carbone la plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e, avec 108,81 euros ($119 USD) par tonne d'\u00e9missions de carbone. La Suisse et le Liechtenstein suivent avec 90,53 euros ($99). D'autre part, le taux de taxe carbone le plus bas se trouve en Pologne avec 0,09 \u20ac ($0,10 USD).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Le 1er avril, Prix du carbone au Canada<\/strong> augment\u00e9 de $10 par tonne chaque ann\u00e9e jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'il atteigne $50 par tonne en 2022. Une fois que le prix du carbone aura atteint ces niveaux, il augmentera \u00e0 nouveau de $15 par an jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'il atteigne un maximum de $170 par tonne de pollution au carbone en 2030. La d\u00e9cision a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise dans le cadre de la loi de 2018 sur la tarification des gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, qui constitue un cadre national visant \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer le changement climatique par l'application de m\u00e9canismes de tarification \u00e0 un large \u00e9ventail de sources d'\u00e9missions de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

M\u00eame si le nombre d'entreprises qui s'engagent \u00e0 devenir neutres en carbone augmente, elles doivent toujours suivre les cadres politiques qui \u00e9voluent rapidement.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

La taxe carbone est l\u00e0 et restera longtemps en place jusqu'\u00e0 ce que nous r\u00e9duisions de mani\u00e8re significative les \u00e9missions de carbone avant qu'il ne soit trop tard !<\/p>\n
