L'effort est noble et d\u00e9courageant.  Souvent, les dirigeants s'attaquent d'abord aux questions environnementales, sociales et de gouvernance (ESG) qui leur tiennent le plus \u00e0 c\u0153ur.  D'autres fois, ils d\u00e9l\u00e8guent le d\u00e9veloppement durable \u00e0 un responsable.  Un cadre peut \u00eatre tr\u00e8s motiv\u00e9 pour impliquer la communaut\u00e9.  Un ancien responsable HSE, aujourd'hui charg\u00e9 du d\u00e9veloppement durable, peut mettre l'accent sur la s\u00e9curit\u00e9.  Il s'agit dans les deux cas de nobles objectifs, mais sont-ils pertinents pour les investisseurs ?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Selon la\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.edelman.com\/sites\/g\/files\/aatuss191\/files\/2018-11\/Edelman_Trust_Baromter_Institutional_Investor_US_Results_0.pdf\">2018 Edelman Trust Barometer Special Report : Investisseurs institutionnels<\/a>En 2017, 66 % des investisseurs am\u00e9ricains ont modifi\u00e9 leur comportement pour int\u00e9grer les risques ESG.  Les investisseurs se fient aux agences de notation qui examinent les aspects ESG d'une entreprise pr\u00e9sentant un int\u00e9r\u00eat financier, c'est-\u00e0-dire les plus importants.  Si une entreprise consacre des ressources \u00e0 des questions importantes pour elle, mais pas pour les investisseurs, cela peut devenir une \u00e9norme perte de temps - et de ressources.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Les facteurs ESG pertinents pour la performance du march\u00e9 varient d'un secteur \u00e0 l'autre.  Une compagnie a\u00e9rienne tiendra compte de l'efficacit\u00e9 du carburant \u00e0 la fois pour des raisons financi\u00e8res et pour limiter son empreinte carbone, plus qu'une agence comptable.
