Global Climate Associates (USA)
Global Climate Associates is working internationally to identify effective solutions to combat climate change. Established in January 2020, Global Climate Associates’ mission is to help facilitate sustainable carbon mitigation technologies and strategies, and bring those to commercial success.
Global Climate Associates Founder and President, Thomas Weber, was inspired by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement. Thomas has been working on sustainability matters his entire career, beginning in Germany with 16 years of interdisciplinary project management, including 10 years at a construction firm. In his executive role, Thomas balanced economic and environmental aspects of major infrastructure and urban redevelopment projects in former East Germany, in a very dynamic business environment after German reunification. In the USA, Thomas worked 15 years as executive in the clean energy development industry, including international business development in China, India and Mexico.

Sustainavision (JAPAN)
Sustainavision Ltd. is a (C)SR consulting firm based in London, UK, and aims to contribute to the development of a sustainable society through supporting organizations Social Responsibility strategy. It proposes to achieve this through reviewing and, where necessary, improving Social Responsibility and Carbon Management programmes, and undertaking tailor-made (C)SR related research and sustainability (C)SR trainings and workshops. Its vision is to create a more sustainable planet and preserve the earth for future generations. It hopes to achieve this vision through supporting clients’ Social Responsibility programmes, working together to build a more sustainable world.

Oman Environmental Service Holding Company S.A.O.C (be’ah) was established in 2017 and has been laying the foundation towards building a sustainable future. Towards this, be’ah has been working assiduously pursing the company’s strategic goals. The Mission of Be’ah is to develop the Waste Management sector in Oman by providing safe, efficient and most economically and environmentally sustainable services in innovative ways thereby contributing to the overall economy and nurturing a more sustainable future.

Richard Cooper (UK)
Richard Cooper MBA, FRSA is principal consultant with Richard Cooper Consulting Limited providing sustainability advisory services to businesses, charities, community organisations and the education sector. He has over 20 years’ experience in sustainability roles including environmental risk management, stakeholder engagement and Corporate Responsibility Reporting. Most recently Richard has specialised in education, social impact and social mobility. He has designed and delivered award-winning education and social mobility programmes and was recognised as a Game Changer by Business in the Community, a one-off award to recognise inspirational individuals working to advance the responsible business movement. Richard is a former chair of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Financial Institutions Initiative. He also chaired the British Bankers’ Association Environmental Issues Panel and was chair of the cross-financial sector FORGE Group that produced guidance for the financial sector on the environment and CSR.

Laurie Peterson – a certified facilitator, certified coach and seasoned speaker – founded New Horizon Strategies, LLC in 2011 to inspire sustainable change in the professional world. Today, Laurie facilitates programs and events to help companies, government agencies and professional associations achieve the highest possible levels of effectiveness. Topics for facilitated programs and events include Operational Excellence, Culture of Innovation, Change Management, Organizational Development, Corporate and Social Responsibility, Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, Project Management, Leadership Development, Team Building, and The Daring WayTM and Rising Strong. In addition, Laurie provides executive, career and business coaching for individuals and groups to help people achieve their vision, goals and desires. By applying Socratic questioning, she enables clients to seek their own answers. She has coached clients from Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and around the world: Australia, Malaysia, Canada, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, The Netherlands, Honduras and Great Britain. A frequent keynote and breakout session speaker on technical and motivational topics to inspire personal and professional growth, Laurie has presented at dozens of conferences and professional meetings from small groups to over 350 people.
Originally a BioProcess engineer, Laurie spent the first two decades of her career working as a life support system manager at NASA, keeping people alive in the harsh environment of space. That work spawned an opportunity to develop the charter implementation strategy for keeping people alive here on Earth, and the terrestrial sustainability program at the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) in Houston, TX was born. In her role as the NASA JSC Sustainability Champion, she awarded the “NASA Power of One” based on the significant achievement of creating the NASA JSC Sustainability Organizational Development Structure, Communications Strategy, Operating Rhythm, Sustainability Engagement Strategy, and Annual Sustainability Report. These efforts continue to affect the ~10,000 NASA JSC employees today, as well as the partners and public affected by the awesome work NASA continues to do.
